Emily:

The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampireby Grady Hendrix

The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires is a fun, spooky, and kind of gruesome story. Follow the twisty turny story of a southern book club as they discover a vampire has moved in their neighborhood.

Jeanine:

Sunshine by Robin McKinley

Not a new book at all but a very creepy book for Halloween. A different take on the vampire genre. Sunshine, the daughter of a legendary sorcerer, is recruited to stop the vampiric elite from controlling earth. After being captured and almost ending up as vampire food, Sunshine makes an unlikely alliance with a vampire who has been condemned by the ruling class of vampires.

Barb:

Stumpkin by Lucy Ruth Cummins
My Favorite Pumpkin picture book!

Michele:

Haven by Emma Donoghue

Set in 7th century Ireland, three monks set out on an adventure. The story slowly becomes one of survival as the men battle the natural world and their faith in God.

Devin:

Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn
A psychological thriller so deep that the despair will keep you curled up for weeks. One of my favorites.
